Intellectually intellectual is thought to be modern man,

Sophisticated then scientific thinking he can understand The Creator’s plan,

Modern man prides himself in a most glorifying manner for all of his “accomplishments”,

Praising himself for a knowledge which he thinks he has gained,

Information not proven, yet sustained,

Yet the simplest things still escape his brain,

Thus, he lives in a manner most bent,

For he has yet to accept, let alone understand,

The message with which the Messengers were sent,

Modern man, a slave to all while a master he strives to be,

Modern man who studies creation but still has yet to see,

Modern man who foolishly considers backward all who are not like him,

Modern man who rejects the truth and finds normality in sin,

What a modern man, in love with his ways even though zero is their sum,

But modern man realizes not,

For modern man is intellectually dumb.

“Nay, Verily, man does transgress (in disbelief and evil deed) because he considers himself self-sufficient.”{Al ‘Alaq: 6-7}
