"O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from the Hellfire." [66:6]
All
praise is due to Allah who has guided us upon the path of correctness
and leaving us with an understanding of the Deen of Islam insha Allah.
It is because of this guidance given to the messenger of Allah,
Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) that it has been passed down and was
given to us from the people of knowledge (the scholars). We are able to
speak to you today, on this important subject of homeschool education,
its long-term effects upon the lives of the student, the abandonment of
worldly affairs that are associated with the mixing of disbelievers in
the public school system, and the safe-guarding of the Deen of Islam.
My noble sisters and brothers it is upon you to make good, sound and responsible choices for your children. It is your obligation to provide safe, filtered, and happy atmospheres for them. To watch the companions that they choose for themselves and teaching them how to choose righteous and trustworthy companions is a must.
Homeschool according to the scholars and the general body of Muslims, who are upon the Salafi Dawah, is a permissible way of education in our homes. Who is better at educating the child than the mother and the father who is upon belief, who is working towards righteousness and piety, and who has a sound understanding of the Salafi Dawah?
In today's society there are so many impermissible vices, tricks from the shaytain that can lead you astray from the path of guidance. Sadly enough, we can find most if not all of these vices in the public school system. Those who send their children to public schools under the guise that they are being educated are purely mistaken and are upon a false concept of hope that will lead to destruction and despair, May Allah protect your children and those of the believers who know this to be a deception.
Homeschooling your children will bring about some long term good effects that will insha Allah benefit them and your entire family later on. Doing so, teaches them Islamic moral character, the correct Aqeedah and manhaj, closeness to Allah by providing remembrance and obedience to the creator, removal of doubts from the false concepts being taught with the educational supplies such as books and any manipulative used in a public classroom setting and so much more.
Homeschooling your children will undoubtedly keep your children away from the worldly affairs such as gangs, fornication, violence, betrayal, lies and deceit, free mixing, smoking, and drugs just to name a few, All of which are against the teachings of Islam.
Keeping your children home to educate them provides a safeguard from the world and its vices. Strengthening them upon the correctness of this Deen and allows them to grow upon the correct path of education and Islam. We want you to remember that you are not alone in your task; there is help from many sources. Laziness is not an excuse for disobeying the message of our beloved prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) "Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you will be questioned about those who you are responsible for."
We end this with some words of advice from our Scholars regarding the education of our children:
'Is it permissible for Muslims to put their children in the schools of the non-Muslims, knowing the many contradictions to the Islaamic Shari'ah that are found in their schools and the effects they have on our children? Specifically for:
· Those who have a proper Islaamic school in their city, but it is expensive
· Those who do not have a proper Islaamic school in their city, rather there are "Islaamic" schools run by people of innovation
· Those who do not have any kind of Islaamic school whatsoever in their city

What is apparent to me, and Allaah knows best, is that it is not permissible under any circumstances for the Muslims to put their children in the schools of the non-Muslims. This is not permissible, especially when these schools teach things that are foreign to the Deen, like the beliefs of the Christians or the Jews, or other impermissible things.
This is the case whether there is an Islaamic school in the city or not. No doubt, when one puts his children in the non-Muslims' school while there is an Islaamic school in the city, this is even more severely prohibited than the one who does so and does not have an Islaamic school in his city.
And it is not permissible for the Muslims to put their children into schools where innovation is being taught, or things that are in contradiction to the Sunnah. The scholars are preventing students of knowledge from reading the books of the innovators, so how can it be permissible for little children to study in schools where innovations are taught?! Especially when they are not able to distinguish between Sunnah and bid'ah, their hearts may become attached to innovations, and Allaah's Refuge is sought. So it is not permissible to put children in schools where innovation is taught.

It is obligatory upon the father that he cultivates his offspring – whether they are male or female with an Islamic cultivation. For they are a trust in his hand; and he will be responsible for them on The Day of Judgement. Thus it is impermissible for him to enter them into the schools of the disbelievers for fear of fitnah (trial) and of the corruption of one's belief as well as manners/conduct.
