Below you will find the names of all the suwar (plural for surah) in the Quraan. This activity will help children (and adults) Insha Allah learn the names of all the suwar in the Quraan. It will also assist them in knowing which juz the suwar are in. This is meant to be an independent activity; a control chart is included at the end of the document to assist with this. The child would compare their list to the control chart. You will find that the suwar are color coded for ease of sorting. You will also find some of the suwar are repeated like Surahtul Baqara has three labels and that is because it appears in 3 different ajza’a (plural for juz). Instructions for use: Take the juz label then the child will arrange the names of the suwar that appear in that juz under it. You will also find smaller labels and those labels can be used in storing the activity. It can be stored in a bead box or a fishing box. Other Ideas: You would need two storage bowls/ containers. One bowl would be used to store the labels for a juz (or more) In one of the bowls take the name of a surah out like Surahtul Naas , Once your child has finished reciting it put that label in the other bowl until all the suwar in that juz have been recited. You may also wish to print two copies as a matching activity for younger children. There are many ways this activity can be used. If you find a new ways, please share with us. I recommend laminating this activity for longer use. I pray you and your children benefit from this activity. Please feel free to share this activity and use freely. But do not resell it in any form!
