ImageCalvert Math

I have been using the Calvert math program for 5 years. In my opinion the Calvert curriculum is worth the money and reasonably priced. Their lessons are simple and complete.  Calvert program provides options to homeschool parents.  Calvert's curriculum can be purchased in totality or parts.  The cost of the math curriculum ranges from $100-$150. Keep in mind that you can limitedly reuse the curriculum.

The lessons are laid out for homeschoolers to use within 12 months. They are easy to follow. The lessons are design to reinforce the previous lesson. There are 152 lessons, 16 review lessons and 8 tests.

The program offers options. You can choose to test your child/ children’s level or simply pick the grade that you feel is best. Other options are ways to measure progress. The available choices are an advisory teacher or the test series.  The program comes with a student hard cover and work book; which I think is inviting for children. You do receive some aides that you can use with lessons. You also are given lesson manuals and answer keys. The Supplies that come with the program are good quality.

I recommend this program for anyone who doesn’t have a lot of time for lesson planning. For someone who is like me and rather have it spelled out. As well as if you need to lessen your work load. I enjoyed using Calvert’s math program and strive hard each year to use it with my children.
